FAQs

 

What does “Files on CD” mean?

This means you get the rights to print unlimited copies of the photos from your session any where you want.

You are not obligated to buy prints exclusively through me.

 

Why aren’t prints included in your packages?

Many people prefer the freedom to get prints at the lab of their choice.  So all packages include a CD with your image files.  This allows you complete control to print 1 or 100.  And in the size you want too!   

 

Are the final images in Black and White or Color?

Unless otherwise discussed prior to your session, the majority of Studio images will be in Black and White.  Occasionally, some images will be in both Black and White and Color. Conversely, the majority of outdoor images will be in Color.

 

Your rates are much lower than the norm, what’s the catch?

It’s quite simple, really.  I work out of my home and the majority of my clients are referrals.  So I don’t need to jack up my rates to cover rent on a posh retail space, advertising or staff salaries. 

 

Other photographers offer 100+ proofs, why do you only promise 25 - 35 final images?

Firstly, you will get a minimum of 25 unique images. Usually, many more are included on your final CD.

Secondly, more is not necessarily better. Think of the hundreds of photos on your hard drive.  Chances are,  you have a few dozen that are your favorites and those are the ones you display.  And lastly,  you may get to “preview” 100+ proofs, but how much do they charge you for each print?  Remember, “proofs” are NOT prints.

 

What to wear?

Simple is best. Your child should be the main focus of the photos. The best way to accomplish this is to keep his/her wardrobe simple.  Solid colored Onesies, au natural or a diaper cover work very well.  Avoid outfits with busy patterns, hard to take off/put on or stained/heavily wrinkled. 

 

Bring a few accessories if you have them: head bands, tutu, a plush blanket or favorite toys are all great.

 

For group pictures, think synergy.  Dress in similar tones or color group for a cohesive look.

 

Get a manicure—chances are your hands will be prominent in some photos while holding your baby.

 

Rescheduling policy

 24 hours notice for rescheduling required. Up to two reschedules allowed within a 60 day period from the original date. 

 

Please reschedule as soon as possible if your photo shoot date is a few days away but your child appears to be ill. 

A sick baby will not do well!
